SDC News
SDC News:
The aim of this bulletin is to inform people of the latest animal news in our area.
The visual techniques can be vastly improved as I kept on looking up for the script. Next time I will learn more of the script so I can focus on looking at the camera.
The verbal techniques I think is good as I said everything in a formal and normal tone and pace way.
I thing the story worked very well with my target audience (students) because it is a very appealing story and you don't see it everyday. It was also short and snappy, to keep the viewers entertained.
Hi I’m
Cameron Watts, and welcome to you 30 second update from SDC News.
And in today’s
top stories, a bull stops traffic on the motorway.
An escaped
bull caused delays on a Hampshire motorway this afternoon.
Police were
called after the young male calf was spotted on the A3M between Portsmouth and
Bedhampton, just after 1pm.
The road was closed for a short
time while the animal was rescued.
Over
Washington DC, baby panda Bao Bao makes her debut at Smithsonian's
National Zoo.
Thanks for watching, I’m Cameron

Analysis
Huw Edwards is a very serious presenter, that works on BBC. His movement is minimal and doesn't have many facial expressions. He keeps himself to himself and there are no hand movements. He is always dressed smart and his language is very formal and has a wide vocabulary. The pace of his voice is average and uses lots of tones to express his emotion.
These techniques are appropriate for middle age white males. I know this because the BBC always use the type of presenter suited to the target audience.
A comparison between Hew and Keith Lemon:
They are two very different presenters. Hew is a news presenter and Keith is a game show presenter. Huw is more serious and Keith is very funny and rude. Huw's target audience is middle age white males, meanwhile, Keith's audience is men and women aged from 16-30. I think Keith Lemon target his really well as they bring in celebrities of all ages, so i don't think there needs any change there. Huw Edwards I think could be a little less serious as not everyone his age is serious.
